Meet Hannah Jane Cohen

Meet Hannah Jane Cohen
Neighborhood Expert in: Pierce County

The best real estate decisions come from asking the right questions, digging deeper than the surface, and knowing how to turn information into a clear plan. That’s where Hannah — a former journalist and culture editor — shines in helping individuals and families make smart, informed decisions every step of the way.

Hannah spent nearly a decade as a journalist and culture editor in Reykjavík, Iceland, followed by years as a travel writer covering destinations across the Nordics and beyond. Journalism trained her to research thoroughly, verify details, and ask the follow-up questions others miss. Today, that translates directly into how she serves her clients.

Because buying a home isn’t just about square footage. It’s about how a space supports your life.

Whether you’re a first-time buyer, looking to purchase land, or seeking out unconventional properties, Hannah thrives on a challenge and takes on a level of research many agents avoid. She digs into zoning, connects with local planners, and outlines what is realistically possible before you commit. That level of diligence reduces risk, prevents surprises, and gives her clients permission to relax and enjoy the process.

Like any good interviewer, she knows how to listen closely, ask the right questions, and uncover priorities that might not be obvious at first. Hannah also brings a strong eye for design and a deep appreciation for architecture, with a particular interest in design-forward homes, historic properties, and spaces with character.

Clients value her calm, thoughtful approach and her ability to make complex information easy to understand. She breaks decisions into manageable steps, keeps things moving, and follows through until every detail is accounted for.

Hannah lives in Fircrest with her boyfriend and their cat, Biscuit. Originally from New York, she has also lived in Iceland and New Zealand and brings a global perspective to how she thinks about home, design, and lifestyle.
